Schumacher likely to return on the track
The seven times F1 world champion Michael Schumacher is likely to make comeback on the track for the first time after his retirement to replace Felipe Massa, who faced a freak accident during the Hungarian Grand Prix, of the Ferrari F1 team.
Injured Massa, who is hospitalized at Budapest after collision with a Meta spring while traveling at a high speed of 162mph, has been advised rest for the season and Ferrari's reserve drivers Luca Badoer and Marc Gene did not have much experience for International races.
The prevailing circumstances enhance chances of Schumacher returning to track and a Ferrari spokesman also confirmed that Schumacher could be considered but he also stated that it has been too early to say anything on this issue.
Massa will miss European Grand Prix in Valencia, which will be held next month and there is also danger of losing his vision due to injuries sustained by him on his left eye.
Two weeks ago, Schumacher had admitted that he was not keen to return on the track but yesterday his spokesman Sabine Kehm said that he could consider the option of making comeback if Ferrari would approach him.
