The Andhra Pradesh Govt. has selected the X300 system that permits seven users to use one PC. Two desktops with vitalization software would be included in each lab that reportedly will offer ten clients with their own monitors and keyboards. Linux and Windows support the software that works as the operating system for the labs.
This initiative taken up by the company will help the government to save money by $20 million and additionally it will also save 90% of the electricity needed to power traditional PCs for all of the students.
“With the modernization of India’s economy, students are eager to learn the computer skills that will prepare them for the digital workplace — but most government school students have never even had the chance to type on a keyboard or click a mouse. This computerization project shows how forward thinking governments can use proven and practical technologies like NComputing to bridge the digital divide,” reported Mr. Raj Shah, chief marketing officer of NComputing.
More than 20,000 organizations in nearly 90 countries are already using this as well as power effective technology created by NComputing.
