Sinsheim, Germany  - Schalke 04 dropped their first points of the season when they were held to a goalless draw at Hoffenheim in the German Bundesliga on Friday.

The result puts Felix Magath's side clear at the top of the table for overnight at least, with Schalke moving to seven points from three games.

"We didn't have any clear goal chances and we have to be satisfied with the point here," Schalke keeper Manuel Neuer said.

Hoffenheim, who are still looking for a first win, remain in the lower half of the table in 12th place.

Champions Wolfsburg, who face SV Hamburg at home on Sunday, are now the only side on maximum points, lying a point behind Schalke.

Hamburg are one of four teams on four points, with two of the others - Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayer Leverkusen - in action Saturday at Cologne and Freiburg respectively, while Borussia Moenchengladbach visit Werder Bremen on Sunday. (dpa)
