Saurav Kothari beats Advani
Kolkata's Saurav Kothari has kicked out Pankaj Advani in the final of the Nahar Group All-India Snooker championship played at Mumbai. He has managed to score his first ever major victory to upset the World No. 1 player.
Pankaj Advani was the two times winner of the world championship but Kothari has played his best to outclass Advani. In the summit clash he beat Advani by 81-1, 66-61, 37-62, 29-77, 72-38, 36-56, 77-0, 73-0, 60-45 points.
However, this is Kothari's third amateur title. Before this, he has won the all-India championships at Meetur and the Australian Open in Sydney in the year 2008. Apart from that, he has beaten Pankaj three times before but this was the first time even in any final match.
This victory will undoubtedly boost the morale of Kothari up as he is departing for the Asian snooker championship in Chonburi, Thailand soon.
After this major victory, the Kolkata player Kothari has said that every win is important but beating the world champion in the final is even more special for him.
