Saurav to bid adieu in high spirits

Saurav Ganguly the ‘Bengal tiger’ feels that it is the time to bid adieu to the Indian cricket team. The former Captain asserts that the last two years in the international cricket have been ‘outstanding’, though he feels disappointed on being left out from the Irani Trophy squad last month.

The player who will be retiring soon from the world of cricket after the test series with the Aussies this month says that he thought of retiring because of the incessant scrutiny that he had to face and consequently created lots of stress in his life.

Ganguly on his retirement said that, “I just felt it was time for me to go and I did not wanted to make much of a fuss and that's why I announced it at the end of the press meet because the series is more important”. On being asked about he being scrutinized, he said probably people didn’t like my face.

The Bengal Tiger in his remarkable performance of last two years scored 1667 in 21 matches. He recalls his debut at Lord’s in 1996 as one of the most memorable moments of his life.
