Satyam Brings In Integrated Digital Media Framework For Publishers
The Hyderabad-based software major, Satyam Computer has launched an integrated digital media framework (IDMF), a solution accelerator for publishers to monetize opportunities. The launch came about on the sidelines of IFRA Expo 2007 in Chennai.
Kevin English, Company VP (Media and Entertainment) told that IDME is a transformational model for media companies throughout the world to perk up the way content is re-used by manufacturers and used-up by consumers.
He signalized that the Media and Entertainment sector was one of the fastest developing verticals for Satyam. The main focus of IDMF is to enhance return-on-content for clients.
“IDMF is not a product. It is a combination of several intellectual properties (IP) of Satyam that are in the process of getting patented, and hence a framework where several technologies from partner companies have been used underlying the IPs that Satyam has developed. We are looking at increasing our revenue in the media and entertainment and convergence businesses to be a function of the values that we create for our customers," Mr. Kevin added.
With the launch of IDMF, Satyam was aiming customers including publishers with abundance of historic unstructured content, publishers using dissimilar technologies and products with demand of Run Time Content Migration and publishers trying for mergers and acquisitions with requirement of integration of different technologies utilized by different organizations.
He also revealed that internationally, the business in content management was projected at more than $30 billion per annum, and Satyam was looking for up-gradation of the value several times.
