Sarah Brown joins ‘twitterati’ bandwagon

Sarah Brown joins ‘twitterati’ bandwagonLondon, Apr 10 : Sarah Brown has become the latest member of the microblogging site `Twitter'.

The British Prime Minister's wife has opened the account under the user name "SarahBrown10".

Sarah, who has almost 800 followers, and is herself following more than 700 people, is using the website as a platform to spread the word about the Million Mums campaign, of which she is patron, reports The Telegraph.

The campaign aims to encourage greater awareness of the health of mothers around the world who are dying during pregnancy or childbirth.

One of her recent messages, or `tweets', reads: "Catching up with Bience Gawanas, my co-chair on the Maternal Mortality Leadership Group. She's in Addis Ababa, we've never met, but works well".

Downing Street has confirmed that Mrs Brown will post majority of messages herself, although it did say that she had nominated a member of her team to tweet on her behalf. (ANI)
