Come March 2010 and Sanyo will unveil its new rechargeable battery unit under the brand 'Eneloop Universe Products'. The 9V rechargeable DC battery unit for music devices - 'eneloop music booster' is designed keeping in mind the musicians who do not have access to AC power supply, and end up changing yet-to-be exhausted batteries so as to avoid any stage glitches.

Eneloop music booster is a high-capacity rechargeable lithium-ion battery, providing a stable and long-lasting 9V power source.

Sanyo's focus is on products that can be recycled and reused, and in making these gadgets more user-friendly and affordable. Eneloop music booster will be accompanied by eneloopy battery checker. The latter is a gadget in the shape of a dog with an LED indicator on its nose that indicates the status of charge on the eneloop battery which is inserted in 'eneloopy's' body. 4 different LED light conditions depict the status. Green - Fully charged, Orange - Partially charged, Red - Needs to be recharged, Light Off - No remaining power.
