Sania storms into quarterfinals of Vancouver OpenIndian tennis ace Sania Mirza has made into quarterfinals of the Oldum Brown Vancouver Open with prize money of $175,000 after ousting American Laura Granville 6-2, 6-4 in the second round on Friday.

The top seeded Sania was in awesome flow and the two times former finalist of Vancouver Open, Laura was not able to match her performance.

Sania performed well and won the match with her powerful strokes.

Sania won the first set without facing any difficulty and her brilliant show continued in the second set also as she raced away with the second set and the match.

Sania will now clash with the Vancouver local Rebecca Marino in the quarterfinals.

Marino survived a scare from the eighth seeded Olivia Rogowska of Australia in the second round match earlier today and she won the match 7-5, 7-6 (0) to advance in to the quarterfinals.
