Samsung launches LED TV line-up for IndiaElectronics giant Samsung India, adding more LED TVs in its portfolio, has launched its premium line-up 8000 series of LED HDTV in India, including selected models of 7000 and 6000 series. The new 8000 series model - 55B8000 - comes with a stylish look and a 55-inch screen.

The products, which use LEDs instead of traditional Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamps (CCFL) as their primary source, provide ultra-high contrast ratios, energy efficiency and more artful designs.

Major features of the Samsung LED HDTV Series include high picture quality, resulting from high dynamic contract ratio to support different colors and mechanism to reduce ambient light. The 8000 Series, having a refresh rate of 200Hz, is very suitable for video games.

Edge LED technology makes the LEDs ultra thin to the depth of just 1.16 inches.

The new series supports USB 2.0 and HDMI ports making it easy to connect Samsung's LED HDTVs to a number of devices.

Moreover, the products are eco-friendly as LED TVs are mercury-free, lead free and energy efficient.

The LED Series 6000, 7000 and 8000 will be available for Rs 2,75,000 and Rs 3,00,000 respectively across 32", 40", 46" and 55" screen size segments.
