Samsung to launch all-in-one PC
Consumer electronics maker Samsung is all set to launch its new range of all-in-one computers. According to the company officials, the all new U250 and U200 models would be available in the market by May this year. Both models would be sold through PC World.
The systems as revealed by the company would support Windows 7 Home Premium, the latest operating system from Microsoft. Experts consider this as a new market penetration strategy from the company to recapture the desktop computing market.
Talking about the features of these models, while the U250 would have a 23in touch-screen monitor and full high definition, the U200 would be HD-ready, and capable of playing content at 720p. It's expected that the touch-screen interface associated with these models would ideally be suited for photo-editing, gaming and watching movies. The company has not revealed the price details of the products.
A Principal analyst at Gartner told PC Pro that this would be a fresh addition to the gadget industry. He also said that in spite of the rise of notebooks and netbooks, desktops would continue to find their way to the users' tables.
