Samsung introduces Lavender LCD Series

Samsung India to pump $20 million in its two units Electronic equipment manufacturer, Samsung India has introduced a new series of LCD monitors dubbed as 'Lavender,' in the Indian market. The Lavender series LCD monitor, available in 21.5-inches and 23-inches screen sizes, is designed to offer 'Complete Display Solutions' to the customers for their business and entertainment needs.

Ranjit Singh Yadav, Director (IT Business), Samsung India, said: "In keeping with the global and Indian market trends where the 16:9 wide format display monitors are rapidly becoming popular with consumers, we have introduced our Lavender series in the Indian market."

The new series offers a dynamic contrast ratio of 50000:1, a quick response time of just 2 milliseconds and a 16:9 widescreen format that makes it ideal for high definition contents.

The Lavender series, having comparatively slimmer neck, comes with non-biodegradable components. Giving green touch to the monitors, the firm has made it 100 per cent recyclable, adding eco-friendly utilities.

The monitors are very power-efficient, with power consumption of less than one watt in the 'power off' mode.

The monitors with 21.5-inches screen are priced at Rs. 12,500; while other models are available in price range of Rs. 5,950 to Rs. 13,500.
