Samsung Galaxy Tablet continues to compete with Apple iPad
South Korean electronics giant, Samsunng's tablet offering in the market are continuing to compete with the market leader Apple iPad as well as Android camp rivals including Amazon, HTC and others.
The popular Samsung Galaxy Tablet 8.9 offers a great experience by combining a user interface that sits well above Google's Android platform. The tablet offers the same type of user friendly experience that ash made Apple devices so poplar around the world.
The main unlock screen shows a lock icon inside an unlocking ring allowing users to slide it on any direction to unlock the tablet. For more security, a user can choose from the three options including a pass world security system involving big dots that can be traced over pattern, a telephone keypad to enter key or a QWERTY screen to type password.
The Galaxy Tab 8.9 tablet runs the Google's Android 3.0Honeycomb and features a WXGA touchscreen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 and is powered by a 1 GHz dual core processor. It also has the Live Panel homescreen, which is a customizable homescheen with apps like email, weather, news, agenda, and stocks.
The new tablet is expected to offer PC like performance and compete with rivals including Apple iPad 2 and Motorola Xoom. Its major differences from the iPad 2 includes a build in microSD slot and marginally better front and rear cameras with an LED flash. The tablet was released at the Mobile World Congress trade.
