Salesforce.com announces “Summer '09”The vendor of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions – Salesforce.com has announced the 29th generation release of the company – “Summer '09”. Salesforce.com has claimed that the “Summer '09” will offer new features across the Service Cloud, the Sales Cloud, and the Force.com Platform.   

The company officials have revealed that the real time cloud infrastructure allows the company to "deliver approximately three major releases a year”. The Chairman and CEO, Salesforce.com, Marc Benioff has said that their company is the only company that can deliver the latest innovations to their customers instantly and reliably, without the hassles of upgrades and maintenance, and “Summer '09” manifests the value of the cloud computing model for customers once again by bringing major product breakthroughs to everyone at no additional cost

According to Sheryl Kingstone of Yankee Group, through Summer '09, Salesforce.com is fetching the Salesforce-to-Salesforce revolution to the service cloud, which allows companies to share case information in real-time with their partners, in just a few clicks. It also ensures the best service to customers.     

According to Salesforce.com, the “Summer '09” will allow the customer service agents to automatically trigger e-mail alerts to the appropriate persons based on a change in the comments section of a case. The “Summer '09” will be available for salesforce.com customers by June 2009.

Meanwhile, Salesforce.com has also announced that it is working to tie up its Service Cloud customer-service platform with the popular social networking and micro-blogging service Twitter. According to the company, the Salesforce CRM for Twitter, which is presently in beta, will be available for Service Cloud users this summer at no additional charge.
