Sacked Scolari to get 7.5 million pound pay-off from Chelsea

Sacked Scolari to get 7.5 million pound pay-off from ChelseaLondon, Feb. 10: Luiz Felipe Scolari will pocket about 7.5 million pounds after being axed by the Chelsea Football Club yesterday.

The 60-year-old Brazilian's huge pay-off is compensation for getting the boot just seven months into his three-year 18.75 million deal, reports The Sun.

It means owner Roman Abramovich will have forked out 32.5 million pounds to the four managers he has sacked since taking over the West London club five years ago.

The ruthless Russian tycoon fired Big Phil after Chelsea's humiliating draw against Hull on Saturday.

Angry fans chanted "you don't know what you're doing" at the World Cup winner.

Scolari said last night: "I am sorry my time here couldn't have been longer." (ANI)
