Sachin Tendulkar To Make Debut In Bollywood
After thrilling people with his superb cricketing style, ace batsman Sachin Tendulkar is getting ready to make his debut in Bollywood.
Sachin, who is presently playing the Test series against Sri Lanka, will be seen in film titled ‘Vighnahartra Shri Siddhivinayak’.
The film to be directed Madhur Bhandarkar’s former assistant Yashwant Ingole stars Divya Dutta and Parmeet Sethi in lead roles.
Sachin is a great devotee of Lord Siddhivinayak, and he promptly agreed to be a part of the movie when the film’s producer Raju Sangvi offered him the role.
Raju said, “He told us that he was ready to do anything that we wanted in the film. We will not make him act. Acting is too small thing for a legend like him to do.”
“We are in the process of working out a small but significant role for him through which a strong, social message could be delivered. We would not like to reveal more details as his portrayal in the film is supposed to be a surprise for the audience,” he added.
While speaking about the movie, Sangavi told that it circles around a family, which is a devotee of Siddhivinayak.
“There are so many stories in Mumbai on how devotion to the lord has benefited the devotees," he also said.
The film is being produced by Vista Media together with the Siddhivinayak temple trust.
Sangavi also said that the temple trust has no financial involvement in the project. Some of the proceeds of the movie will go the trust, he added.
