Rodgers insists will maintain Liverpool's 'dignity, class' while pursuing first-ever PL win

Brendan-RodgersLondon, Apr 17 : Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has insisted that he will maintain the club's philosophy of trying to retain dignity and class even while winning, as the Anfield side bids to pursue their first ever Premier League triumph.

Rodgers has always demanded his side perform in the most sporting way possible even after successive weekends when West Ham United was wrongly awarded a goal against his men and Luis Suarez was accused of cheating by Manchester City.

According to the Mirror, Rodgers believes in taking the high road in pursuit of his dream of carrying Liverpool to Premier League success, saying that he and his players do not surround referees and are at the top of the Fair Play League, which shows their behaviour.

Rodgers further said that these are the values of the club, which has won trophies in the past with humility and class, adding that it is important to him that those values are restored.

Rodgers argued his team would not resort to gamesmanship even if the decision goes against their favour, adding that they will focus to regain their flow and rhythm and try to ensure a no excuses environment at the club. (ANI)
