‘RNBDJ’ Takes People Back To Theatres

‘RNBDJ’ Takes People Back To TheatresThanks to Shahrukh’s new movie ‘Rab Ne Bana De Jodi’, which has done wonders for cinema hall sales after the recent terrorist attack on Mumbai.

According to the recent box office figures, the sales of movie tickets that dropped down to a mere 25-30%, due to attacks, have gone up to 90%.

As a result, Mumbai multiplexes are again busy and long queues of people were seen outside the halls to see King Khan’s latest film.

Mr. Rishi Negi, COO, Fame Cinema said, “It was opening day and we saw 80 - 90 per cent seats filled up. There was a lull for couple of days back but now looks like SRK is bringing his fans to theatres.”

It has been more than two weeks since the Mumbai terror attacks that abstained lots of film fans from entering multiplexes but looks like Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi has punched back life into theaters across cities.

A movie buff said, “We have been waiting for a good SRK film. We are not over the attacks as yet but life has to go on.”

“We can't let the terrorists win. We can't sit at home,”' said a SRK fan.

Crowds are minimal at other films though, so clearly these lines are a wonderful response to the SRK magic more than any other factor.

However, the release of ‘Rab Ne Bana De Jodi’ has been postponed in Pakistan.
