Remedy is reportedly working to develop its Alan Wake 2 game title for the next version of the Xbox, dubbed Xbox 720, according to a report.

The report by Xbox World's inner section indicates that Remedy has started work on the game suited for the newer gaming console. "We hear a number of Microsoft-friendly developers are hard at work on prepping next gen games as we speak. Could this be the reason why Remedy are so quiet about Alan Wake 2? " the report read.

Earlier reports had suggested that Remedy is carrying out development tasks on Alan Wake 2 but if the new reports are to be believed, the game will not be out until the release of the next generation Xbox by Microsoft.

The report also points out that Rare, Lionhead and Turn 10 might also be involved in developing games for the new generation Xbox. The report, which came through website sillegamer, suggests that the new console will be launched in the market in the coming months.
