Reliance Infra’s net profit down by 27.5%Reliance Infrastructure has announced its fourth quarter financial results for the fiscal year 2009-10 and the net profit has been gone down for the quarter. Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG) group company Reliance Infrastructure has declared that the net profit of the company has declined by 27.5% for the quarter reviewed.

It has posted a net profit of Rs 251.1 crore for the quarter that ended in 31st March, 2010. This net profit figure was at Rs 251.1 crore for the same quarter in the preceding year.

So far as the operating income of the company is concerned, it has touched Rs 2644 crore for the fourth quarter. It has increased from Rs 2409 crore on for the same quarter last year. Hence there has been a rise of 9.8% in this quarter. The company's Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) order book has touched Rs 19,250 crore in the fourth quarter.

Reliance Infrastructure has informed that currently it is developing 11 road projects of 970 kilometers. For this the company has invested Rs 12,000 crore. It is also planning to set up 25 million tones of cement capacity in coming five years.
