Mumbai, Oct 29 : The net profit of oil-to-petrochemicals major Reliance Industries (RIL) dropped 6.41 percent to Rs. 3,852 crore (approximately $815 million) for the quarter ended Sep 30, compared to the Rs. 4,116 crore it netted in the corresponding period last fiscal.

In a regulatory statement Thursday, the company said it has registered a turnover of Rs. 47,476 crore (about $10 billion), an increase of 5.88 percent from the Rs. 44,839 crore it earned in the year-ago period.(IANS)
