Washington, Mar 9 : The launch of British supermodel Kate Moss' clothing at Topshop in the US has had to be toned down due to the recession.
Moss' fashion clothing line at British chain Topshop is doing so well that the franchise is heading overseas with a flagship store opening in New York next month.
But plans of having a huge bash to open the shop have been scrapped by its billionaire owner Sir Philip Green, who has instead decided to invite 35-year-old Moss to boost Topshop''s American profile.

Washington, March 9: Scientists have achieved a significant success in using stem cells to replace stroke-damaged tissue in rats.
Led by Dr Mike Modo of King''s College London, the research project was funded by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC).
The study conducted at the Institute of Psychiatry and University of Nottingham has shown that by inserting tiny scaffolding with stem cells attached, it is possible to fill a hole left by stroke damage with brand new brain tissue within seven days.
Previous experiments, where stem cells have been injected into the void left by stroke damage, have had some success in improving outcomes in rats.

Brown has been charged with two felony charges following his bust-up with the Umbrella hitmaker last month (Feb09).
The `Kiss Kiss' singer is free on 50,000-dollar bail after he was granted a continuance at his arraignment hearing on 05 Mar (09) and is due back in court next month (Apr09).
Reports suggest Rihanna has reconciled with the singer and was in Los Angeles with him prior to the arraignment.
