Kanpur, Nov 8 : In a rare case the police have registered a case of attempt to murder against a 10-year-old boy in Kanpur.

Family members of the accused said that some miscreants entered into a brawl in front of their home on October 29.

The miscreants attacked Ajay, the accused, and his father when they asked them to leave.

However, two days later they came to know that Ajay has been named in a case of attempt to murder.

Ajay''s mother said her son was traumatized after that.

Varanasi, Nov 6 :Scores of handloom weavers took to streets on Thursday in Varanasi, famous for its world renowned Banarasi sarees, against the cheap quality Chinese imitation products flooding the market.

The Banarasi saree, named after Varanasi''s old name, Banaras, is the city''s most famous export item.

At one side the prepared saris are not getting sold off in abundance like before, on the other side the export orders appears to face a downward trend in near future.

The Silk industry, which was facing a tough time due to other factors, is likely to face a major jolt in the days to come leading to literal starvation of several people.

Punjab National Bank (PNB) has entered into an agreement with Mother Dairy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of National Dairy Development Board, to benefit the milk producers in Uttar Pradesh. 

According to the sources, the tie-up would ensure better prices for their produce and time-bound payment through smart cards, to be distributed by the bank.

PNB stated in a release that, a pilot project has already been launched in Bulandshahr district in western UP.
