Mumtaz Bhutto accuses Zardari of causing rifts in Bhutto familyKarachi, Apr. 18 : Sindh National Front chief and late Benazir Bhutto's uncle Mumtaz Ali Bhutto has claimed that Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari is causing rift in the Bhutto clan.

He advised Benazir Bhutto's younger sister Sanam Bhutto to beware of Zardari who according to him was using her to cause damage to the Bhutto family, The Nation reports.

Pak needs more aid to pre-empt global terror strikes from its soil: Holbrooke

PakistanTokyo, Apr. 16 : The US Special Envoy to Pakistan and Afghanistan Richard Holbrooke has said that the international community should ensure giving more financial aid to Pakistan, as the terrorist groups based on its soil are on the verge of carrying out attacks around the world.

Addressing delegates at the donors’ conference here in which countries have pledged five billion dollars for Pakistan as aid, Holbrooke said the world must keep supporting the country.

“The terrorists in western Pakistan are planning other attacks around the world. So, we should remind ourselves that the problem is far from over,” The News quoted Holbrooke, as saying.

"Yes, I held three meetings with high ranking US authorities," Daud Abidi remarked in a telephonic conversation with The Nation on Friday. He said that all such meetings were held on behalf of Hizb-e-Islami Afghanistan headed by Engineer Gulbadin Hekmatyar.

The Tehreek Nifaz-e-Shariat-e-Muhammadi chief was quoted by the Daily Times as saying, that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain had nothing to do with Islam.
