Lahore, Dec 3: The Pakistan Government has extended the house arrest of Supreme Court Bar Association President Aitzaz Ahsan by 30 days, saying he could be a threat to public safety, if released.

He said that the political parties would betray the nation by participating in the January 8 general elections.

Khan termed the decision of the political parties to take part in polls despite the All Parties Democratic Movement’s (APDM) November 24 decision to boycott, as “unfortunate” and “treason.”
