New York, Apr 15 : Marilyn Chambers, one of the first mainstream porn superstars, has been found dead aged 56.

The pioneering porn star was discovered unconscious by her 17-year-old daughter at her mobile home in the Los Angeles suburb of Canyon Country on Sunday night.

Authorities said that they did not suspect foul play and were conducting toxicology tests, reports The New York Daily News.

The angelic-looking, blue-eyed blond starred in Behind the Green Door (1972), the first hardcore film to reach a mainstream audience.

New York, April 15 : The sale of Michael Jackson memorabilia has finally been cancelled, hours after an extensive collection of the pop star's belongings went on view for a public auction.

Julien's Auctions and Jackson made an announcement in this regard on Tuesday.

According to reports, the auctioneer is ready to return the property to Jackson.

Jackson hired the auctioneer last year to sell the contents of Neverland Valley Ranch, his former estate northwest of Los Angeles.

New York - US investment bank Goldman Sachs said Tuesday it would raise 5 billion dollars in new capital through the offering of 40.6 million new shares of stock. The funds would be used to repay part of the 10 billion dollars in government loans the firm received in October.

Goldman Sachs surprised analysts with quarterly profits announced late Monday that rose 13 per cent to 1.7 billion dollars in the first quarter despite the global financial crisis. Other major banks and investment firms are to report quarterly earnings in the coming days.

New York - The YouTube Symphony Orchestra, made up of 90 outstanding musicians chosen via online audition videos they posted on YouTube. com, held its first rehearsal Monday in New York ahead of its official debut Wednesday night at New York's Carnegie Hall. The orchestra was selected by its artistic advisor Michael Tilson Thomas, and the programme will include works by Gabrieli, Bach, Mozart, Brahms, Villa Lobos and John Cage.
