Maratha activists pelt stones on CM's chopper, Chavan escapes unhurtPune, Feb 19: Maratha activists demanding reservation for their community in government jobs, hurled stones on Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan''s helicopter when it landed at Shivneri Fort, around 100kms from Pune on Thursday.

However, Chavan escaped uninjured as the police acted swiftly and cane charged the demonstrators of the Marathas Mahasangh Coordinating Committee (MMCC), the umbrella body of all Maratha groups in the state.

Adnan Sami Wins Property Case Against WifePakistani singer Adnan Sami has won the property case against his wife, Sabah Galadri.

Sabah pleaded in the court that Adnan together with his parents should be evicted from their five-flat residence at Lokhandwala in Andheri.

But, the petition has been dismissed by the Mumbai High Court.

Adnan’s lawyer Vibhav Krishna said, “The HC order clarified that the family court has jurisdiction over matrimonial disputes involving foreign nationals.”

Mumbai terror attack boat returned to its owner

Maharashtra MapMumbai, Feb 17 : MV Kuber, the fishing trawler that the Indian Government says militants of the Mumbai terror attacks used to reach the metropolis, has been returned to its owner amidst speculations that the boat might sail back to Gujarat.

The trawler has been returned to Vinod Masani after the police cleared him of suspected links with the militants. The MV Kuber will sail back to Porbander.
