Forest officials relocate tigress in Madhya Pradesh

Madhya PradeshMandla (Madhya Pradesh), Mar. 11 : Forest officials have airlifted a tigress from the Kanha National Park to the Panna Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh in a bid to revive the tiger population in that region.

Officials often airlift tigresses from national parks with enough tiger population to those parks where the number has come down drastically.

Recently the authorities relocated tigresses from Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve and Kanha National Park to Panna Tiger Reserve to check the fall in numbers.

Save the earth campaign on horseback in Madhya PradeshIndore, Mar 7: Nine riders on horseback made a record attempt, riding non-stop for 24 hours on Friday here to urge people to save earth.

"The riding club undertook horse riding to give the message to the people that if they want to save the earth, they should make all possible efforts to save water and trees," said Achal Chaudhary, chairman, Indore Public School Academy.

The men on horseback rode within a circle of 300 metres, with the riders and the horses taking a break for half-an-hour every three hours.

IVRCL Infra wins seven various projects worth Rs 670 croreHyderabad-based IVRCL Infrastructures and Projects Ltd (IVRCL) has notified that it has bagged seven projects worth Rs 670.03 crore from different agencies for construction related works.

The company picked first order worth Rs 332.55 crore from Narmada Development Division in Madhya Pradesh for the execution of Lower Goi project in the state.

Under the project, the company will construct dam, canals and its distribution network for irrigation purpose in the state in a period of four years.

Community Radio Station to start in Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh

Madhya PradeshNew Delhi, Feb 26 : The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has signed a Grant of Permission Agreement for establishing, maintaining and operating a Community Radio Station at Sironj Tehsil, Vidisha District, Madhya Pradesh with Indian Society for Agribusiness Professionals (ISAP), a Delhi-based NGO.

A letter of intent has been issued to the organisation by a Screening Committee.

The community radio station is expected to be operational within three months as per the agreement.

BHEL wins order worth Rs 3150 crore

BHEL wins order worth Rs 3150 crore Country's largest power generation and other heavy equipment maker, Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has informed that it has secured an order worth Rs 3,150-crore contract from the Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company for installing main plant package (steam turbines and generators).

It should be noted that this is the first order secured by BHEL for the new-rating units of 600 MW.
