Lahore, Mar. 4: The careless approach of investigators has resulted in a loss of important forensic evidence related to Tuesday’s terrorist attack on Sri Lankan cricketers.

According to the Daily Times, investigators neither wore gloves, nor avoided touching things that carried the fingerprints of the shooters.

According to forensic expert Dr Ahsan, senior police officials and forensic experts were seen touching and collecting arms and ammunitions without wearing gloves.

“The three vehicles taken into custody by the police were also treated carelessly, and no one bothered to preserve the fingerprints or the DNA samples,” Dr. Ahsan claimed.

Lahore, Mar. 5: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has disposed off a petition filed by Jamaat- ud- Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed’s wife, Memoona Saeed, challenging the government’s decision to detain Saeed without valid reason.

Saeed’s wife said the government had detained her husband only to please the US and India without giving any valid reason.

Lahore, Mar. 5 : Test cricket Umpire Ahsan Raza, who was seriously injured in Tuesday's attack on the Sri Lanka cricket team, is still in critical condition.

Lahore, Mar. 5 : Pakistan investigative agencies are of the view that militants are using Tuesday's attack on the Sri Lankan cricketers in Lahore to facilitate the release of Lashkar-e-Toiba commander Zakir-ur-Rehman Lakhvi.

Lakhvi is currently detained at the Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi and is facing trial for his alleged role in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.

According to sources, investigation agencies are saying that the attack was planned and carried out by a Lashkar operative.

Lahore, Mar. 4 : Fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has not been included in the Pakistan cricket team for the tour of Bangladesh that gets underway from the next week.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday announced a 16 member squad for the forthcoming Bangladesh tour.

According to sources, the selection committee did not consider Akhtar for the selection, as he was not hundred percent fit.
