Lahore, Oct 5 : Former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto has rejected the impression that the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) was brought to benefit the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) alone.

Lahore, Oct 2 : The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has quietly started restoring its relations with the opposition parties, because hopes of the government and the PPP coming closer are quite dim with the Musharraf regime sitting on the demands of the party.

The PPP will finalise its strategy on October 3 in a meeting being convened in London, giving maximum time to the Musharraf regime to accept its demands before the presidential polls.

Lahore, Oct 2 : Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf would give up his uniform before taking oath as the civilian head of the state, US Consulate Principal Officer Lahore Bryan D Hunt has said.

Hunt further said that national political reconciliation and the holding of free and fair general elections is vital for Pakistan.
