Audi A4 Allroad Quattro hits the road Ingolstadt, Germany - Audi has added another variant to the A4 model range with the Allroad Quattro which will be available in European showrooms from May with prices starting in Germany at 37,100 euros (49,930 dollars). Compared to the A4 Avant, the all road Quattro version is larger and measures 4.72 metres in length and 1.84 metres in width. At a height of 1.50 metres, it is also taller than its A4 Avant sibling.

Audi 225 Front Roadster at Essen classic show Ingolstadt, Germany  - As part of its centenary celebrations, Audi will exhibit a 1935 Audi 225 Front Roadster, which has been reconstructed on an original frame, at this month's Essen Techno Classica show.

Audi hailed the vehicle as one of the "most spectacular cars" during the recently opened exhibition "Horch - an Audi!" at the company museum in Ingolstadt, south-west Germany.

The car accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. In the version with the sequentially shifting R tronic, it passes the 200 km/h mark in another 8.1 seconds. The top speed is listed at 316 km/h.

"I think we could come up with a whole family of A1 models. We have plenty of ideas," Audi head Rupert Stadler told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa. "We've also got a few things in the pipeline from 2010 and a model or two in the compact car sector are certainly on the cards."

The top of the line is the S5. Its three-litre TFSI, a V6 with turbocharger, unfolds 245 kW/333 hp and 440 Nm of torque. The sporty character is underscored with quattro drive, a sport suspension with 18-inch wheels and a number of special equipment details.

Audi planning to revive A2Ingolstadt, Germany  - Audi is planning to revive its microcar the A2 as a sport model with a high roof to round off the compact A1 and A3 model segments, the German auto magazine Auto Bild reports.

A Sportback version with a longer rear is also being planned for 2014, the magazine said.

An Audi spokesman declined to comment on the Bild report, but Audi CEO Rupert Stadler said earlier: "We are looking at different scenarios including a new A2."
