Hamburg - Consumers generally won't go wrong buying any CD blanks on sale with reputable dealers. A recent test by Computer Bild magazine showed that 41 of 45 blanks provided "satisfactory" overall results.
In its 9/2008 issue, the Hamburg-based magazine looked at both single-use and rewritable CD as well as blanks with special characteristics, such as those intended for audio use or those offering extra capacity. They were tested on various burners for storage quality and robustness.
