Lehmann rejects unsporting jibe after boot-throwing incident

Jens LehmannHamburg - Former Germany keeper Jens Lehmann has expressed "surprise" at being accused of unsporting behaviour by Hoffenheim coach Ralf Rangnick for throwing an opponent's boot away.

Striker Sejad Salihovic's boot came off at the feet of Stuttgart's Lehmann 20 metres from goal in Saturday's 3-3 Bundesliga draw. Instead of handing it back, the keeper threw it over his shoulder.

The Bosnia forward had to retrieve the shoe from the roof of the net where it had landed. Rangnick said Lehmann's action was "highly unsporting."

Bundesliga brakes are on for big two Bayern, Bremen

Hamburg  - The new year has not been kind so far to German football giants Bayern Munich and Werder Bremen.

Champions Bayern slumped at home to Cologne on Saturday in their third defeat in four games since the Bundesliga winter break.

Werder meanwhile went down to a last-minute goal at lowly Energie Cottbus and have just one point in four games since the season resumed at the end of last month.

However on a day of thrills and spills in the Bundesliga, Bayern's unexpected defeat was again not punished by immediate rivals.

Hertha Berlin led at Wolfsburg but lost 2-1, while Hoffenheim missed a penalty in stoppage time in an entertaining 3-3 draw at VfB Stuttgart.

Users should not expect miracles from PC loudspeakers

Users should not expect miracles from PC loudspeakersHamburg  - Hi-fi systems are in no danger of being replaced by computers, said the Hamburg-based computer magazine Computebild.

But while the best PC loudspeakers cannot match the sound quality or volume levels of a good stereo system, some computers still offer sounds good enough to liven up computer games or provide background music while working, reports Computerbild magazine

But that's about all users should expect. After all, a good pair of hi-fi speakers can cost 300 euros (386 dollars).

ROUNDUP: Hoffenheim go top as Bayern, Hertha crash in Bundesliga

Hoffenheim go top as Bayern, Hertha crash in BundesligaHamburg  - Hoffenheim went back to the top of the Bundesliga Saturday after previous leaders Hertha Berlin slipped to a 2-1 defeat at Wolfsburg and Bayern Munich went by the same scoreline at home to Cologne.

Demba Ba scored a hat-trick for Hoffenheim who missed a stoppage-time penalty in an entertaining 3-3 draw at VfB Stuttgart - the point enough to put Ralf Rangnick's side back on top on goal difference.

The results could benefit third-placed SV Hamburg who will go top if they can win at fifth-placed Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday.
