Gaza City - An Israeli airstrike killed two Palestinian militants in the northern Gaza Strip Saturday morning, witnesses said.

They said a reconnaissance drone fired a rocket at a group of five gunmen who gathered near the border town of Beit Hanoun.

Medical sources said that a man's body was brought to Kamal Adwan hospital in Jabaliya and another badly wounded man died soon after arrival. A third one was moderately hurt.

Gaza City - The Israeli army has denied claims by witnesses claimed that it attacked and killed two Palestinian militants in the northern Gaza Strip Saturday morning.

The witnesses claimed a reconnaissance drone had fired a rocket at a group of five gunmen who gathered near the border town of Beit Hanoun.

Others said a rocket the group was about to fire into Israel exploded prematurely.

Gaza - Palestinian officials on Saturday warned the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip will deteriorate because Israel is showing no signs of opening crossing points it shut down.

"There are no indications that goods required to meet the basic needs of the Gaza Strip will be allowed to enter in the next few days," said Hatem Owaida, an official at the ministry of economics.

Israel closed the commercial crossing points along Gaza Strip on November 4, following a surge of violence that left a June ceasefire in tatters.

Gaza/Tel Aviv - A truce between Israel and militants in the Gaza Strip which has largely held for more than five months was increasingly unravelling Friday, as Gaza gunmen launched another round of rockets into southern Israel.

Israel responded with an air strike on a group of militants in northern Gaza, who had just fired one of the missiles into Israel, an army spokesman in Tel Aviv said.

Four members of the al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the radical Islamic Jihad movement, were injured, two of them moderately.
