Australia''s Johnson breaks into Reliance Mobile ICC Test bowlers top ten ranking

Mitchell JohnsonDubai, Dec. 2 : Australian fast bowler Mitchell Johnson has broken into the top 10 of the Reliance Mobile ICC Test bowlers for the first time in his career following another good performance against New Zealand at Adelaide.

The 27-year-old left-armer took match figures of 5-85 as Australia registered a comfortable victory over the Black Caps and as a result he has gained another four places in the rankings. He now sits in eighth place, level with Shoaib Akhtar of Pakistan and Sri Lanka’s Chaminda Vaas.

It is a remarkable turn around for the Queenslander considering he was outside the top 30 as recently as last month.

VP orders setting up of Al Jalilah bint Mohammed bin Rashid Paediatric Hospital

UAEDubai, Dec. 01st, 2008 --Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has ordered setting up of Al Jalilah bint Mohammed bin Rashid Paediatric Hospital.

The hospital, which is the first specialised integrated paediatric hospital in the UAE, is a gift from Sheikh Mohammed to children on the first birth anniversary of his daughter Sheikha Al Jalilah, which coincides with Dec. 2nd, the day the UAE people mark the 37th anniversary of the UAE federation. The hospial will provide full medical services to sick children.

Emirates operates special flight to recover stranded crew and passengers at U-Taphao

EmiratesDUBAI, Nov. 29th, 2008: An Emirates Airline spokesperson today said in a press release the carrier "can confirm it has operated a special flight yesterday to U-Taphao Airport, about 150 kilometres east of Bangkok, to recover stranded crew and passengers." " We have also provided transportation to take crew and passengers to the airport. The Boeing 777-200 aircraft, which is scheduled to arrive in Dubai later this morning, will bring back 90 crew and 75 passengers", he added.

"Our scheduled flights to Bangkok continue to be affected due to the closure of Suvarnabhumi Airport", he said.

UAE, Qatar sign MoU to increase flights between them

Qatar AirwaysWAM The United Arab Emirates represented by the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Qatar to increase the number of flights between the two countries.

According to the MoU, Fly Dubai was appointed as the UAE national carrier along with Emirates, Etihad, Air Arabia and Rak Air as the UAE's national carriers while Qatar Airways was appointed as Qatar's national carrier.

Seamless flow of pilgrims at Abu Dhabi Airport ensured: ADAC
