Chicago, Feb 4: The makers of Malia and Sasha dolls have been forced to withdraw the toys from the market following the ire of US First Lady Michelle Obama.

She had accused the company Ty, Inc., the makers of Beanie Babies for exploiting her daughters.

The company''s web site featured pictures of the dolls marked with the word "retired.''''

Chicago, Jan. 28: Riding the wave of friendly feeling for President Barack Obama, the Chicago White Sox have announced plans to release two new versions of their hat with some Obamanian features on the back and side, reports the Chicago Sun Times.

The Sports Business Journal reports, "The hats have been approved by MLB Properties, and the White Sox now are awaiting a formal blessing from the Obama administration before league licensee New Era goes into production. Both designs will be made if accepted by Obama."

Chicago, January 28 : U. S. First Lady Michelle Obama's office has revealed that she has decided to put off public appearances until her daughters, Malia and Sasha, are settled in their new city.

She is also crafting her longer-term portfolio, and figuring out how to make the White House more accessible to the public.

Michelle's mother Marian Robinson is also said to have moved into the White House to help the Obama family look after their children, reports the Chicago Sun Times.

Chicago, Jan 27: US First Lady Michelle Obama has come under fire for not wearing an inaugural design by a black fashion designer.

Amnau Eele, co-founder of the Black Artists Association, has told fashion industry publication Women's Wear Daily that she is planning to "file a formal appeal" with Michelle's office about the lack of a black designer.

"It's fine and good if you want to be all `Kumbaya' and `We are the World' by representing all different countries," Eele is quoted as saying at wwd. com, the magazine's Web site.

Chicago (Illinois, US), Jan. 27: Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich has declared the Illinois State Senate impeachment proceedings a "kangaroo court."

Blagojevich told FOX News on Monday that "What''s happening to me is unimaginable. It''s a kangaroo court... when they are basing an impeachment on a criminal allegation that their rules don''t allow them to prove up."

Chicago, January 17 : Jennifer Hudson is reportedly trying to move on with her life after having faced the horrors of her tragic family murders.

The Oscar-winner, who went into hiding following the brutal slayings of her mother, brother and seven-year-old nephew in October last year, is set to sing the American National Anthem at Super Bowl XLIII in on February 1.
