Reaction of body to soda consumption explained

A former pharmacist has come up with answer to the question regarding how drinking soda affects our body. Naraj Naik has described the whole thing on his website, TheRenegadePharmacist. com, in a minute-by-minute graphic that has been entiltled as "What happens one hour after drinking a can of Coke".

According to him, in first 10 minutes, 10 teaspoons of sugar enter in body. It is 100% of recommended daily intake. After 20 minutes, he explained that blood sugar rises, leading to release of insulin. And liver turns that sugar into fat.

He described that after 40 minutes, pupils dilate and blood pressure increases after completion of caffeine absorption. This happens for the reason that liver adds more sugar into bloodstream. At this point, the adenosine receptors in brain get blocked and this prevents drowsiness.

After 45 minutes of consumption, production of dopamine increases and this stimulates the pleasure centers in the brain. After 60 minutes, the phosphoric acid leads to binding of calcium, magnesium and zinc are in lower intestine and metabolism increases further.

And after more than 60 minutes, diuretic properties of caffeine appear and one feels need to urinate and the bonded calcium, magnesium and zinc headed to bones together with sodium, electrolyte and water are evacuated.

According to Naik, "After seeing so many people suffering from obesity related diseases like heart disease, diabetes and the side effects of the medication they were taking, I was strongly motivated to research what actually causes people to become obese".
