Rasna forays into ‘Instant Tea Segment’Rasna, the largest manufacturer and exporter of beverages and process foods from India, has decided to enter into instant tea segment.

This is the first time, the company well-known for its fruit and concentrated drinks, is venturing into the instant tea segment. The company plans to launch its 'Bollywood Chai' in global markets, including the US, the UK, Singapore and Australian market in shortly.

Presently, the company is carrying out market surveys in the UK, Singapore, Australia and other countries having a substantial section of people of Indian origin.

Through the launch of new product, the company's objective is to capture the section of Non-Resident Indians (NRI) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) in various parts of the world.

The new product, which would be available in five flavours - cardamom, masala, cinnamom, ginger and plain, will be manufactured by the company for export purposes only. Each packet of six pouches will carry price tag of US$ 2.

The company plans to launch its branded instant tea in the US market by October this fiscal.
