Rab Ne, Ghajini Hope To Bring Back Audience To Theatres
The two keenly anticipated movies of this year SRK’s ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ and Aamir’s ‘Ghajini’ now have different challenges to meet.
There are also hopes that both the films will put an end to the lacklustre season in the Hindi film industry (Bollywood).
But the most important thing is that, they’ll lure back film fans who have kept away from cinemas since the Mumbai attacks.
During the last two weeks, the majority of Mumbai’s 75-plus multiplexes witnessed below 30% occupancy.
Moreover, five Bollywood films released during the last week failed to capture the audiences’ interest.
Mr. Devang Sampat, Cinemax Multiplexes said, “Audiences are waiting for a good film. Small budget movies therefore are really suffering.”
With movie theaters being among the most susceptible terror targets, Mumbaikars still look doubtful to go out for a movie.
But with the two big ‘Khan’ releases, many say they are actually awaiting something worthy to come their way.
Yash Raj Films Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, directed by Aditya Chopra, will be released on 12th December across 30 countries worldwide.
On the other hand, the release date of ‘Ghajini’ has been altered. Now, it’ll hit theatres on 24th December instead of 25th.
While both Khans celebrated a somber Eid on Tuesday, they were also keeping their fingers crossed.
