PTPL expects to sell 10,000 tabs per months in West Bengal in next 6 monthsThe Pantel Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (PTPL) expects to sell 10,000 tablet computers per months in West Bengal alone in the coming six months.

PTPL, in partnership with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL), launched a total of eight tablet computers with price tags ranging from Rs 3,999 to Rs 14,699 in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and eastern states of Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal.

Speaking to media persons, PTPL Director Vivek Prakash said that they launched the range of tablets to meet the requirements of different purchasers. He added claimed that the Penta T-pads were the most affordable capacitive touch screen WiFi-enabled tablet computers available in the Indian market.

Announcing the launch of the new tablets, he added, "We hope to achieve a sales figure of 10,000 tabs per month in Bengal alone in the next six months."

Mr. Prakash added that the company was working closely with certain verticals, such as education, information management systems, and healthcare, to offer accessibility of enterprise level data for use on tablets.

Government-owned BSNL, which has a partnership with PTPL, expects that the sales of the tablets will help it in achieving cent per cent increase in the number of 3G subscribers in Kolkata.
