Provogue India, a leading manufacturer of Fashion garments has recorded 34% jump in its net profit for the quarter ended March 2009.

Company's net profit figure in the reporting quarter stood at Rs 8 crore.

In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the company said that it has posted a net profit of Rs 6 crore in March quarter of 2008.

Net sales of the company came down to Rs 79 crore for the quarter ended March 2009, from Rs 91 crore in the corresponding period of last fiscal.

For the year ended March 2009, the company has recorded a two-fold jump in consolidated net profit which stood at Rs 59 crore, as compared to Rs 25 crore in the same period ended March 2008.

Further, company's board has proposed a dividend of Rs 0.30 per share.
