Prince Harry to make first official visit to US next month
London, Apr 29: Prince Harry is set to make his first official visit to the US next month.
The 24-year-old royal will fly off to New York for participating in a charity polo match and will also take part in a series of official engagements.
The Prince will raise funds for Sentebale, the charity supporting African Aids orphans he set up in memory of his late mother.
The news of Harry’s visit comes in line with the revelation last month that Sentebale had seen public donations slump by 84 per cent to
250,000 pounds.
The company''s accounts show that by the end of August last year the charity came close to going broke with only 53,000 pounds left in the bank.
The charity exhibition match will take place at the Veuve Clicquot Manhattan Polo Classic on New York''s historic Governors Island on May 30th.
The event is the first of a series of events on Governors Island, in commemoration with the 400th anniversary of New York, reports The Telegraph.
Meanwhile, Clarence House declined to comment on the issue. (ANI)
