Pranab Mukherjee meets Prachanda
Kathmandu, Nov 25 : Visiting Indian Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee called on Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias, ''Prachanda'' at his official residence in Baluwatar this morning.
It has been learnt that the meeting dwelt on making the bilateral relationship between both countries more strong.
Mukherjee reportedly discussed Nepal''s political situation, the peace process and the army integration with Maoists.
Finance Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai, the Indian envoy to Nepal, Rakesh Sood, and the Foreign Affairs Advisor to Prachanda, Hira Bahadur Thapa, were present at the meeting.
Mukherjee told the media after the talks that they were productive and fruitful. He also said that India is ready to extend any support to Nepal.
He also expressed his government''s commitment to completing the reconstruction of the Koshi Dam.
Mukherjee is scheduled to meet President Dr Ram Baran Yadav and Nepali Congress President Girija Prasad Koirala in the day. (ANI)
