Prakash crashes out of Vancouver Open

Prakash crashes out of Vancouver Open Indian tennis star Prakash Amritraj's campaign has came to an end in the $175,000 Oldum Brown Vancouver Open as he went down to the third seeded Marcos Bagdhatis of Cyprus in straight sets on Wednesday.

Prakash was not able to compete with the Australian Open finalist Marcos and he lost the match 4-6 1-6 in the second round. With this defeat of Prakash, Indian men's campaign has come to halt as all three Indian players had already lost their matches in the men's double event on Tuesday.

Prakash was paired with Pakistani Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and the third seeded duo were stunned by unseeded pair of Kyu Tae Im of Korea and Marinko Matosevic of Australia 2-6 2-6 in the opening match on Tuesday.

Harsh Mankad and his American partner David Martin had also crashed out after losing their first round match to Israeli pair of Amir Hadad and Harel Levy by 6-7(7) 2-6.
