Prachanda holds talks with UML leaders
Kathmandu, May 21: Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) Chairman Prachanda has held discussions with Unified Marxist Leninist (UML) leaders with the aim of breaking the political deadlock in Nepal.
According to Nepalnews, Prachanda said that he held positive discussions on the issues of republic implementation, power sharing, constitutional amendment and the killing of Ramhari Shrestha, a resident of Koteshwore, by Maoist cadres.
Meanwhile, UML General Secretary Jhalnath Khanal said that they had held extensive discussions on the continued attacks by Maoists against workers of other parties.
"We have demanded that they immediately cease such activities. Regarding Koteshwore incident, they must help bring the guilty persons to justice," Khanal added. (ANI)
