Speculation is rife after the authoritative politico. com website said that the incoming Obama Administration can offer California Governor Schwarzenegger the role of energy czar, the Guardian reported.

London  - Britain's ruling Labour Party, which lately had suffered a string of election defeats, received an important boost by winning a by-election in Scotland, home of embattled Prime Minister Gordon Brown.

Labour candidate Lindsay Roy prevailed with about 700 votes over his main rival from the Scottish National Party in the Glenrothes constituency in east-central Scotland, the BBC reported.

Washington, Nov 7: US President-elect Barack Obama is scheduled to hold talks with President George Bush on crisis issues, including Iraq and the ongoing recession in the economy, official sources said.

White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said Obama and wife Michelle would visit the White House on Monday, which will be their home after the inauguration on January 20.
