Honey Festival to be launched in DubaiDubai - The glitzy Gulf emirate of Dubai is to launch a honey festival, allowing visitors to taste different types of honey from around the world.

According to the festival's organizers, dozens of producers from different countries, including Pakistan, Iran, Yemen and India, are presenting their products at the festival which starts Wednesday.

Visitors will be able to taste from a variety of honey samples before choosing to buy, and information is to be presented on honey's benefits, including its antibacterial properties.

Two Italian mafia bosses arrested in Spain Madrid  - Spanish police have detained two of the leaders of the Neapolitan Camorra criminal organization, police said Tuesday.

Antonio Caiazzo, a historical leader of the Camorra's Volmero clan, and his right-hand man Francesco Simeoli were held in Majadahonda near Madrid as they were leaving a restaurant by car on Monday evening.

The men, both of whom are 50 years old, did not resist arrest, police said.

Caiazzo went on the run in March 2007 after being sentenced to 12 years in prison by a Naples court.

Greek captain shot dead by pirates off Cameroon coast Athens  - A band of armed pirates shot dead a Greek captain off the coast of Cameroon over the weekend, the latest in a series of attacks on ships in African waters, the Greek Ministry of Merchant Marine said Monday.

The attack against the two Cameroon-flagged fishing trawlers took place on Saturday off Douala, southern Cameroon, the ministry said.

The pirates, aboard at least two speed boats, reportedly seized one of the vessels and tried to direct it towards international waters when the second vessel began to chase them down.

Police identify victims of US nightclub killing spree, seek motive San Francisco  - Police were on Monday investigating why a man opened fire on a line of teenagers waiting to enter a nightclub, killing two teenage girls and wounding seven others before shooting himself in the head.

The incident took place Saturday night in Portland, Oregon. The perpetrator was named as Erik Salvador Ayala, 24, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
