Phones 4u has announced that it will offer the much anticipated Huawei Blaze and Vision smartphones in the UK market.

Phone 4u has wont the exclusive rights to market for the Blaze in forth quarter of the year and introduces Huawei phones in the UK for the first time. Huawei phones have been available in the UK but only as white label items through BT, Vodafone, T-Mobile, Orange and Telefonica.

Both the Blaze and Vision smartphones, which are aimed at youth and value market, will be launch by the end of this year. The devices will run the Android Gingerbread 2.3 operating system and will be powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapgdragon MSM 8255 processor.

Mark Mitchinson, Samsung VP for UK and Ireland has said that, ‘If you look at the customer base of many operators some 50% to 60% of them are still 2G feature phone users, so that is where the opportunity is for us.”
