Philadelphia man charged with sexually assaulting his girlfriend's sister

Philadelphia man charged with sexually assaulting his girlfriend's sisterIt has been reported that a Philadelphia-area man has been charged with sexually assaulting his girlfriend's sister after he was determined to be the man who made her pregnant.

The Philadelphia Daily News has reported that Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said the 19-year-old victim did not report the rape when it happened, so investigators had no evidence from a rape kit. It was also reported that Samuel Nyenka, 26, was arrested last week after DNA from the victim's aborted fetus was matched to his.

Chitwood further said that the alleged victim said Nyenka raped her as she slept in the home he shared with her sister. She decided to go to police after realizing she was pregnant.

Chitwood said, "She was concerned it would destroy any relationship she had with her sister, who seemed to be in love with this guy, and she wondered who would believe her."

According to the reports, the alleged victim had already had an abortion. With her permission, Police got a search warrant to get the fetus's DNA.

It was also revealed by Chitwood that Nyenka denied having sex with the victim, either consensual or rape. (With Inputs from Agencies)
