Phelps escapes two-vehicle crash unhurt
Washington, August 14 : Michael Phelps escaped uninjured after being involved in an auto accident in downtown Baltimore.
The Olympic gold medal swimmer was behind the wheels of a Cadillac Escalade when it collided with a Honda Accord in an intersection.
Anthony Guglielmi, a Baltimore police spokesman, said the star along with other two passengers in his vehicle did not need medical attention, reports the Washington Post.
The ace sportsman, who bagged eight gold medals at the 2008 Olympic Games, was described as "coherent" after the accident.
Guglielmi added that the woman in Honda "was shaken up after the accident" and was taken to a hospital as a precaution.
The officials found no evidence of drugs or alcohol in both vehicles after an examination. (ANI)
